Brad Pitt hit with major lawsuit

Brad Pitt has found himself at the center of legal drama once again!

The Formula One star's skincare brand Beau Domaine is facing a lawsuit from California-based men's personal care company that claims that the actor's business adopted a name too close to its own.

The complaint was filed by Beau D., a Malibu-based brand founded by former Men’s Vogue and Teen Vogue editor Brandon Palas, according to Radar Online.

As per the company, Pitt's skincare label created confusion in the market after changing its name from Le Domaine to Beau Domaine last year.

Furthermore, the outlet reported that Beau D. has accused Beau Domaine of common-law unfair competition and is seeking more than $75,000 in damages.

On the other hand, the company is also asking the court to bar Brad Pitt's brand from continuing to use Beau Domaine name in the future.

As per Brandon Palas, he attempted to resolve the issue in private with the Oscar winner's company before taking legal action. "It's about protecting the integrity of what we've spent years building and ensuring independent brands have the right to grow without being overshadowed or diluted," he said in the statement.

It is pertinent to mention that neither Pitt nor representatives for Beau Domaine have publicly commented on the reported lawsuit so far.
