Bailey Zimmerman faces fourth-degree felony charges after wrecking hotel room

Bailey Zimmerman got caught up in some legal trouble after causing more than $16,000 worth of damage to a hotel room in New Mexico.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the 26-year-old American singer is facing a fourth-degree felony for criminal damage to property over $1,000 and a misdemeanor for falsely obtaining services.

On May 27, Zimmerman had to perform at the amphitheater at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, but he called off his concert due to illness just a few hours before the show.

The outlet reported that the Hell or High Water crooner “appeared to be exhibiting signs of intoxication” whether he did sound checks or dealt with staff members. Also, he used to create a ruckus hours before his shows.

During his May 27 concert, Zimmerman “stumbled onto the stage” of the amphitheater, held a guitar, and started dashing it on the ground “before tripping over the stage and falling backward,” as per the affidavit.

He did not stop there and kicked a drum set, threw a microphone to the ground, threw two cymbals on the stage, and pushed a guitarist “angrily.”

It is pertinent to mention that Zimmerman also “spit toward a Sandia security officer standing nearby” after seeing his SUV because it was black, not white in colour.

After his return to the resort from sound check, his left knee was bleeding and he “was seen stumbling down the hallway toward his room,” which made him cancel his concert that was scheduled for that night.

The Chase Her singer informed his fans on Instagram on May 27 by writing, “I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I’m not able to give you all the show you deserve.”

“I hate letting y’all down and was really looking forward to these shows, but I gotta take care of myself so I can get back out there stronger,” he penned.

On the morning of May 28, housekeeping found Zimmerman had caused damage worth more than $16,000 to the room as he broke a coffee table, TV, phone and made a hole in the wall. He also consumed alcohol worth $400 and refused to pay his bill.

It is worth mentioning that Bailey Zimmerman’s arrest warrant was issued on June 18, 2026, after repeated failed attempts to contact him.
