DJ Fat Tony is in spotlight again with his renewed involvement in the ongoing rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

The celebrity DJ, who performed at Brooklyn's wedding party, has broken his silence on the matter once again for calling the whole situation "sad" when he was recently promoting his new self-help book Recover Me: A User's Guide to Overcoming Addiction and Insanity.

While calling the situation difficult for everyone involved, Tony also compared the Beckham situation to his own experience, where he did not speak to his father for 30 years.

"I didn't talk to my own father for 30 years… it was a deflection of my own stuff onto him and it was far easier for me to hate on him because I was hating on myself," Tony admitted.

However, Tony also expressed regret over that decision, explaining that much of his anger towards his father came from his own personal struggles and that he eventually made peace with him before it was too late.

"I regret that more than anything in the world, but I made my peace with him," he added.

Discussing Brooklyn's public fallout with his family, Tony said family rifts are always painful. He then recalled being drawn into the controversy after Brooklyn accused his mother Victoria of behaving "inappropriately" at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz.

Tony previously address the claims in a television appearance, saying he only wanted to clarify how the word "inappropriate" was being interpreted and to stop negative assumptions being made about both Victoria and Brooklyn.

"It was not a nice situation," he said. Despite the family tensions, Tony spoke warmly about the Beckhams and praised David and Victoria's parenting. "They brought up those kids impeccably," he said.

Tony added that although he does not see David and Victoria as often these days, he still has affection for the entire family.

Away from the Beckham discussion, Tony also reflected on his own recovery journey. Now sober for nearly 20 years, he said dealing with childhood trauma and hypersexuality proved even more challenging than overcoming drug and alcohol addiction.

His new book touches upon those experiences to help others facing similar struggles.
