Prince Harry promotes his Games in new video as royals remain busy with Ascot
Prince Harry praises Germany's leadership and mentions the UK in his new video message
Prince Harry on Friday released a video message for the competitors, their families and friends, and the German city of Düsseldorf during the opening show of the Invictus Germany Sports Festival 2026.
The Duke of Sussex said, "It was an honor to be sending this message as you all gather in Düsseldorf for another Invictus sporting spectacle."
"What started here is 2023 did not end here, we know. Thanks to Invictus Germany, the games became the catalyst for lasting national change, strengthening recognition, community and support for veterans, including the national recognition of National Veterans Day.
The Prince said the Invictus community is looking forward to Birmingham, United Kingdom 2027 and the announcement of the 2029 host city.
Praising Germany in his video message, the younger son of King Charles III said the country's leadership is central to Invictus Games' future.
Harry's message came as senior members of the British royal family attended Royal Ascot, a historic horse racing event.
The Duke of Sussex is settled in California, United States, with his wife Meghan Markle and two children—Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Harry and Meghan moved to the US after stepping down from royal duties in 2020.
