Wild Knicks parade turns into shootings, stabbings and 63 arrests
A number of NYPD officers have also been injured in the chaos
The New York Knicks, after a drought of over 50 years, clinched a victory in the NBA Finals.
Though winning the match swooned the fans, the celebration quickly spiralled out of hand in NYC.
Swarms of fans flooded the streets, and with them came chaos.
At least 63 people, according to the NYPD, were arrested.
In addition, during the noisy parade, four stabbings as well as one shooting occurred.
According to reports, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the foot. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital.
On the NYPD side, some 10 officers have been injured. One of the cops was hit by a flying glass bottle.
A litany of charges has been pressed. From assaulting police officers to illegal gun possession and disorderly conduct, as well as resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
Videos from the mayhem show school buses vandalized and vehicles being smashed.
During the unrest, a 17-year-old boy in the foot has been shot in the foot.
Shocking videos circulating online appear to show fans vandalizing school buses and smashing personal vehicles as the celebrations spiraled out of control.
