Millie Bobby Brown recently got candid and reminisced about her adoption journey.

For those unaware, Millie and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, announced in August 2025 that they had become parents of a baby girl through adoption. The couple, who tied the knot in May 2024 after crossing paths with each other on Instagram in 2021, do not have biological children.

The 22-year-old mother of one showed up on the recent episode of Kylie Kelce’s podcast, Not Gonna Lie, where she articulated her thoughts about embracing motherhood.

Millie lifted the lid on what she found the most difficult part of the process when Kylie, the mother of four daughters, whom she welcomed with husband Jason Kelce, asked her to share her experience with those who might want to adopt a child.

"Every journey is different. Waiting for the call is the hardest part,” the Stranger Things star said. “I just would always encourage you to understand that every journey is different.”

She added, “Don't compare yourself to others, don't compare yourself to statistics, don't compare yourself to other families, but your baby is out there, and you'll find each other."

“That's something I prayed for every night. I was just very grateful that our baby was out there and we found each other,” Millie admitted, stating that she always wanted to adopt a child.

She went on to unveil that it was “always part of my childhood dreams. Every time I was at home and I was, you know, 5, 6 years old, my parents were like, ‘You had your baby dolls.' They were all adopted. I never had any of them myself. And I never pretended I was pregnant.”

Notably, the Damsel actress’ dream to adopt did not erase her plans to have her biological child one day, saying, “It's not because I don't want that. Hopefully one day that's in my future.”

It is pertinent to mention that Millie Bobby Brown stated that “adoption is love, adoption is forever.”
