Prince William picked fights with nanny over favourite meal
Prince William did not like to be lectured over food by nanny
Princess William always bugged his nanny over food, it is revealed.
The Prince of Wales who loved himself some American junk food, bothered his nanny who otherwise wanted healthy meal for himself and Prince Harry.
Former royal chef Darren McGrady, who was Princess Diana's personal chef, reveals:
"Nanny, who was in charge of the boys in the nursery upstairs, she always used to battle with them. She would say, 'I can't believe they're requesting all of that American nonsense, that American junk food. They should be having roast chicken and vegetables.' Well, the boys won," he laughed.
The chef added: "Princess Diana, on the other hand, would choose a salad, and maybe some corn."
"It's true that Prince Harry was never a fan of lobster. His mother loved it but would never order it when out with friends. She thought it was too expensive.
"Instead, she would have me, her chef, prepare lobster thermidor at least once a week. And if William and Harry were home, then BBQ baby back ribs and corn, followed by banana flan or ice cream. Everyone happy! [smiley face emoji]."
"Cooking at Buckingham Palace was amazing. It was everything I expected it to be,” he further added of his experience with the Royals.
"They have the most amazing produce, the best quality food, the best ingredients to work with. Just little things like picking up the phone and calling Harrods and asking for a rack of lamb with a two-inch eye of meat and six bones – you got everything you wanted,” he noted.
