Getting an Emmy nod has not turned out great for Meghan Markle in the eyes of the media, its gotten to a point where some are even going as far as to advocate for her to drop from the running herself, rather than risk the ‘embarrassment’ of losing to a show that they dub is ‘far superior’ than hers.

For those unversed, the shows she’s up against include; A Different Breed, George to the Rescue, The Motherhood and The Wizard of Paws.

The person who penned an entire piece on the news is Senior Showbiz Reporter Bethany Whittingham for the Daily Express.

She wrote, “if Meghan has any sense, she will politely remove herself from the running in the Emmy category and save herself and the Royal Family the embarrassment of her losing out to a far superior show.”

“Or even worse, actually win the award and have to step on stage and give an acceptance speech, which is sure to ignore the King and Prince William is back home, who will no doubt be watching through their fingers,” but “I pray that the latter won't happen,” she added too.

But that’s not all she’s called it “a real blow to the awards show,” if she does wins. Because if that were to come to pass, “her success would be a glaring red flag that the awards show is completely fixed, o she can go home with a shiny new award on her coffee table. But then again, I don't think any of us expected her to even receive an Emmy nomination for the show in the first place, so clearly, anything can happen.”

It was in her concluding words that she actually admitted, “only time will tell if she will attend the awards show. But I hope for all our sakes that she makes the right choice, if only to give King Charles a break from the Montecito drama for one month.”
