Meghan Markle appears to have lost one of her biggest defenders, the author of Finding Freedom, the man who was hot on the Duchess’ heels when she first moved from the UK into Canada and her subsequent Montecito life.

Now with radio silence on Scobie’s side, celebrity news reporter Rob Shuter has come forward, that too with a scathing bit of news into the real reason the well seems dry.

On his substack he quoted a well placed source getting up close and honest.

According to them, the fact of the matter is that Scobie’s separation does not seem to be something he’s done willingly.

To push the point home they were even quoted saying, “there is no way Omid walked away.” After all Meghan was his “biggest story,” some might call her his ‘meal ticket’. Hence, in the writers’ eyes, “if someone ended this relationship, it wasn’t him.”

The source even told Naughty But Nice, about one of Meghan’s biggest issues, and that is that “shehas a pattern. People are incredibly valuable until they aren’t. Once she feels she’s gotten what she needs, she cuts ties and rarely looks back.”

What’s also pertinent to mention about the shift Scobie has taken is that he’s moved away from royal reporting to television and fiction writing.

Its even said he “doesn’t have Prince Harry or Meghan’s phone numbers,” and “doesn’t socialize with them” and “has always relied on independent sources rather than direct access.” But the fact of the matter, that the source later added on is that Omid “built a career covering Meghan.”

So “walking away from your biggest story doesn’t make sense. Being pushed aside does,” they allege.
