Congresswoman Nancy Mace has lost her South Carolina governor bid to Attorney General Alan Wilson in the Palmetto State’s GOP gubernatorial primary after her decisive defeat on June 9, Tuesday.

Mace finished in fifth place and conceded the race. After losing the ground, she attributed her loss to backlash she received from her support for releasing the Epstein files, exposing DEI judges, and revealing names in a sexual harassment slush fund.

Taking to X, Nancy Mace expressed her opinion, stating, “I’ve seen what happens when good people stay quiet. And I’ve seen what happens when they don’t. I would choose the latter every single time. I’ve taken on the rich and powerful in both parties because I stand with the people of South Carolina!”

“I voted to release the Epstein files and lost some support for that. As a survivor, I chose to stand on principle and stand against the Epstein cover-up. I chose to expose the names hidden in the sexual harassment slush fund. I chose to expose DEI judges. I chose to expose the abusers of children.”

“And apparently, I chose wrong if the goal was winning an election,” she added.

Despite being eliminated from the primary, Nancy Mace endorsed Wilson in an optimistic tone.

“I want you to know that I’m going to endorse Alan Wilson for governor,” Mace told supporters.

“I want a law-and-order governor, and that law-and-order governor is going to be Alan Wilson,” she said. “And I not only think he’s going to win tonight, I think he’s going to mop the floor with [Republican Lt. Gov.] Pamela Evette, and I very much look forward to that.”
