'Boring' NBA game blamed after Trump 'falls asleep' in MSG

Millions of people have watched videos of Donald Trump purportedly falling asleep during the  NBA Finals at ‌Game 3 of the championship series between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs.

The president arrived as a guest of Knicks president James Dolan at Madison Square Garden. Hundreds of his political opponents circulated the videos of Trump, mocking the Republican for falling asleep during the exciting game.

However, his supporters were quick to defend the president. While many said he didn't sleep, others blamed the "boring" game that caused the president to fall asleep.

"Boring as s***, can’t blame him.. This is probably AI anyway," said a user commenting on the viral video.

"You can see him moving," said one Trump supporter on X. Another said, "Even MSG security let him sleep. that's how dead this matchup is."

It is unclear from the footage whether President Trump was asleep or simply resting his eyes.
