Zendaya gives sweet nod to Tom Holland in casual outing
Zendaya visited a bookstore where she found a way to support her and Tom Holland’s work
Zendaya recently made an unexpected stop at a Northern California bookstore and had some fun with books having familiar titles.
The Challengers actress visited Rakestraw Books in Danville, California according to an Instagram post shared by the independent bookstore.
"We had a very special visitor at Rakestraw Books recently," the store wrote alongside a photo of Zendaya posing inside the shop.
"Zendaya stopped by to shop and chat books with us! We were thrilled to help her find some good reads and loved getting some recommendations from her!" they added.
In the snapshot, Zendaya can be seen holding copies of Frank Herbert's Dune: Messiah and Homer's The Odyssey.
The titles are a nod to two upcoming film projects tied to Zendaya and her partner, Tom Holland.
Zendaya is set to reprise her role as Chani, the Fremen wife and legal concubine of protagonist Paul Atreides, in the next installment of Denis Villeneuve's Dune franchise, Dune: Part Three, due to be released in December.
Meanwhile, Holland is slated to star in director Christopher Nolan's upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey. Zendaya is also attached to the highly anticipated film and is set to play the goddess Athena.
The couple first met while filming 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming and confirmed their relationship in 2021 after years of friendship and speculation from fans.
Since then, the pair have largely kept their romance out of the spotlight, however, Zendaya sparked engagement rumors when she appeared wearing a diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025.
A source later confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that Tom Holland had proposed during the 2024 holiday season.
