King Charles has reportedly selected his sister-in-law Duchess Sophie for a secret mission regarding Kate Middleton, Prince William, Harry and Meghan Markle.

According to a report by the Closer, the monarch, who is keen to bring peace among the former ‘The Fab Four’ – to reach a ‘truce’ that will end their bitter rift for good.

The insiders have told the outlet, King Charles has selected Duchess Sophie, 61 to handle what has become a very delicate situation.

“It’s no secret that Charles wants a truce between these four and Sophie on a mission to make it happen,” the insider says.

The insider went on to say Sophie has far more sway within the family than people realize, “she’s trusted implicitly by Charles. That’s what makes her such a unique figure in all of this.”

Sophie, who is currently visiting Portugal with husband Prince Edward, is also one of the very few people William “genuinely listens to without immediately putting his guard up."

Duchess Sophie’s loyalty is with the Crown first and foremost, and with Charles, but she’s always been very fond of Harry, the source added.

Sophie’s children adore Prince Harry too, and when Sophie met Meghan, “they got along beautifully, and she took a shine to her.”

The king has assigned the major role to Sophie after Kate Middleton said to have stepped away from her role as royal ‘peacemaker’ to prioritise her health after cancer diagnosis.
