Sir Rod Stewart, Frankie Valli spark death fears amid major health issues
Sir Rod Stewart and Frankie Valli are on the verge of retiring from their performing careers
Sir Rod Stewart and Frankie Valli have their inner circle worried about their health after the legendary musicians cancelled their scheduled performances on the same weekend.
For those unaware, Stewart announced the cancellation of his two Las Vegas residency shows at the eleventh hour to recover from a sinus infection.
“My apologies to my family of fans. I am on vocal rest as I recover from a sinus infection. I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer,” he said at that time.
While Valli removed the remaining dates from his farewell tour, The Last Encores, to prioritize his health. He quipped, "I'm so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health.”
“I'm looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon,” he concluded.
Notably, the abrupt decisions fuelled speculation and made people wonder what had happened to both Stewart and Valli. Some are even speculating that their performing careers are about to end after decades-long rule in the music world.
An insider told Radar Online, "Seeing two icons of this stature cancel major commitments simultaneously inevitably raises questions among fans. Both men have spent years defying expectations about age and performance, so any interruption becomes a major talking point."
"Audiences have grown accustomed to seeing these artists on stage year after year. When tours are halted, or concerts are canceled, concern naturally follows that they are on their last legs, particularly given their ages,” another source stated.
