James Van Der Beek's ex wife Heather McComb starts new chapter with longtime partner
The late actor and Heather McComb were married for almost seven years
James Van Der Beek's first wife, Heather McComb, has officially tied the knot three months after the Dawson Creek actor's death.
Heather announced the happy news on her social media on Sunday and shared the sweet insights of her big day with her new partner, actor Scott Michael Campbell.
The wedding took place on Saturday as the photos showcased Heather's outdoor ceremony in Montana.
The bride kept the cowboy vibes, sporting boots with socks that read “I [heart] my husband.”
Heather penned down, “Yesterday @scottmichaelcampbell and I under the covenant of God got officially married by my beautiful sister @essence_says surround by the people we love most in the world in our most favorite city Missoula Montana."
“Our hearts are full and humbled by all of the love that we were surrounded by. God is so good.”
The groom and bride apparently had an eventful day as Heather also posted a picture of her dirty socks. She later changed into silver-and-white sneakers.
She also expressed her gratitude, adding, “Thank you to all of our family and friends who traveled from all over the country to be with us. Thank you Jesus the way maker miracle worker! You all made it so special and a truly magical weekend that we will never forget. We are sitting here counting our many blessings.”
It is pertinent to mention that James and Heather were married from 2003 to 2010. James later married Kimberly and welcomed five kids together: Olivia, 15, Joshua, 14, Annabel Leah, 12, Emilia, 10, Gwendolyn, 7, and Jeremiah, 4.
The actor died back in February at the age of 48 after an intense battle with colorectal cancer.
