'Brilliant' Kate Middleton makes Prince William proud
Prince William also said about Kate Middleton, "We have to balance that and make sure she's okay and rested but she's in good form"
Kate Middleton has made her husband Prince William proud as she returned to royal duties following her cancer diagnosis.
The future king joined Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Heart FM from the Isles of Scilly for a special live broadcast from a cafe.
The Prince of Wales during the segment, made rare comments about Kate's return to duties after her cancer diagnosis.
The father-of-three said he was "so proud", and adding: "She's an amazing mum, an amazing wife and literally our family couldn't cope without her, so she's been brilliant."
Reflecting on Princess of Wales Kate Middleton first trip abroad since cancer diagnosis, Jamie said "It must've been a difficult time back then with the kids and seeing her fulfil those duties must've made you very happy."
Reacting to it, Prince William replied, “Yep, very much so. She's been absolutely stunning, she really has."
When asked whether further trips might be planned, William said: "She's sort of edging herself back into doing more of those trips," though he emphasised that such visits demand considerable effort and can "take it out of you".
Prince William continued, “We have to balance that and make sure she's okay and rested but she's in good form.”
Kate Middleton revealed her cancer diagnosis in 2024 and announced she was in remission in January last year, beginning a slow return to official duties.
Last week, the future queen visited Italy, her first official trip abroad since her diagnosis, and in three and a half years.
