Sarah Jessica Parker marks special day with 'darling' Matthew Broderick
The actress and her husband Matthew Broderick's love story began in 1991
Sarah Jessica Parker is sharing a rare insight into her love story with her longtime partner, Matthew Broderick.
The Sex and the City star took to her Instagram account on Tuesday to mark her incredible 29 years of marriage with Matthew.
In the celebratory post, Sarah shared a series of intimate throwback photos, including a sweet Polaroid showing the couple away from the red carpets and Hollywood spotlight.
In the snap, apparently captured inside their home, Matthew can be seen planting a kiss on Sarah's head while she leans on him.
The other photo frames in the picture featured the couple's black-and-white images, seemingly taken at public appearances.
Sarah wrote in the caption, "May 19th, 1997-May 19th, 2026... 29 years. And counting."
She gushed, "Here’s to you my darling. With your favorite band joining me in serenading you. Us. Forever young. Xxx, Your wife Sarah Jessica."
For those unversed, Sarah and Matthew's love story began long before they became one of the most beloved couple of Hollywood. They met via Sarah's brothers, Toby and Pippin, who used to work together at the New York theatre company Naked Angels.
Sarah revealed in a previous interview that their romance had a complicated start, as shared on The Howard Stern Show, "We were both seeing other people, so it was illegal. We understood that we had to do right by the other people and break up officially."
