Donna Kelce talked about her son Travis Kelce’s month-long intense training for his 14th NFL season ahead of his wedding to Taylor Swift.

Donna, who is currently promoting her collaboration with GameChanger, gave an interview to PEOPLE magazine, where she reflected on her son’s training sessions for the 107th NFL regular season starting on September 9, 2026.

She told the outlet, “He always goes into his own routine with training, and it's brutal. Then he goes to actual training camp.”

“He has to get ready before he goes to training camp. It's a long process. It takes months to get ready. That's what he's doing right now,” the 73-year-old shared.

Notably, Travis is returning to play for the Kansas City Chiefs after the team did not live up to expectations last year, so much so that many started to believe that he would announce his retirement; rather, he announced his return to play his 14th NFL season in January of this year.

During one of the episodes of his New Heights podcast in January 2026, in which he told his elder brother, Jason Kelce, “At the same time, if my body can heal up and rest up and I can feel confident that I can go out there and give it another 18, 20, 21-week run, I think, I would do it in a heartbeat.”

Travis then signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs worth $12 million after two months.

It is pertinent to mention that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are set to tie the knot on July 3, 2026, in New York after almost three years of dating and a year of engagement, as the couple announced their engagement in August 2025 in a joint Instagram post.
