Queen Camilla applauds nurses' 'remarkable' work in heartfelt tribute
The queen marked International Nurses Day with touching message
Queen Camilla is paying tribute to nurses on International Nurses Day.
The wife of King Charles penned down a touching note, praising Roald Dahl Nurses for their 35 years of support for seriously ill children and their families.
As the queen serves as the patron of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, she wrote, "Dear Roald Dahl Nurses, As the proud Patron of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, I wanted to write to you as we celebrate International Nurses' Day, to thank you for everything that you do."
Expressing gratitude for their remarkable services, Camilla continued, "For 35 years, you have supported and cared for seriously ill children across our country, making all the difference in the world to them and to their families."
"I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you and never fail to be struck by your compassion, professionalism, cheerfulness and remarkable ability to "make things happen...You are all, quite simply, marvellous!" she gushed.
The note written on a page with an illustration of a nurse with three kids, consluded with the signature of Camilla.
The caption of the post read, "A message from The Queen as Patron of @roalddahlcharity for International Nurses Day.
On #International NursesDay, we offer our warmest thanks to the remarkable Roald Dahl Nurses and all nurses across the UK and Commonwealth."
It is pertinent to mention that Queen Camilla took on the role of patron in 2017 when she was still the Duchess of Cornwall.
