Buckingham Palace speaks out after King Charles' special tribute to Sir David Attenborough
The King congratulates Sir David Attenborough after his 100th Birthday with a special treat
King Charles has just come forward to honor one of Britain’s biggest voices for the natural world, Sir David Attenborough, who just turned 100, on the 8th of May.
To commemorate this special day the King relayed his handwritten congratulatory message straight from Balmoral Castle to London “for the beloved naturalist in time for his big day.”
According to the Royal Family’s official website, the short is titled A Very Special Delivery, and has been produced by BBC Studios’ world-renowned Natural History Unit.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace even spoke out too and says, “His Majesty was delighted to feature in this special tribute to a man who has shared his lifetime commitment to the natural world, and has followed each stage of the filming process with great interest. He was only sorry not to meet Lily the magical barn owl in person.”
Moreover he referenced Queen Camilla’s thoughts too and goes on to say, “Her Majesty was particularly touched that her mischievous Moley was invited to make a cameo appearance and was on hand with a ready selection of dog treats to help coax a willing performance on the day. The King and Queen send their warmest wishes to Sir David on his special night and hope he enjoys the resulting film as much as they enjoyed making it.”
