How Princess Eugenie revealed her pregnancy to King Charles?
Zara Tindall encouraged Princess Eugenie to reach out to King Charles directly
The Palace, on behalf of King Charles, announced last week that Princess Eugenie is pregnant with her third baby, and the monarch is 'delighted' with the news.
Now, according to insiders, Princess Eugenie informed King Charles directly on the advice of her cousin Zara Tindall.
As per details, Andrew’s younger daughter chose to reveal her pregnancy to the King through an Easter card paired with a thoughtfully composed letter.
The close confidant says, Princess Eugenie decided to inform the monarch via Easter card on the advice of Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne.
Zara encouraged Eugenie to reach out to King Charles directly, the insider added.
Eugenie and her husband Jack had been weighing up whether to announce the news through the media independently, without Palace involvement.
However, they found themselves pleasantly surprised by the reaction they received from King Charles and the royal family.
The source tells the Daily Mail, "She and Jack were quite surprised by the warmth of the Palace response."
Later, the palace announced on its official social media handles, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.
“August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family.”
It further said, “His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”
