Why did Buckingham Palace announce Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy news first?

The York family, particularly Princess Eugenie and her sister are currently facing the full front of the media’s fury, not because their names have been exposed in the Epstein Files but by way of association to their parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson who have enjoyed a close bond with the child sex offender for decades.

Ever since their parents went into exile, Fergie’s case being self-imposed, many are starting to question why Buckingham Palace took it upon themselves to put their weight behind the good news.

According to The Mail on Sunday this was deliberate, something that’s come only a few months since Andrew was taken into police custody, on his 66th birthday no less for questioning and concerns related to allegations of misconduct while in public office.

According to the outlet, the reason King Charles’ Firm shared the news first to The Royal Family Instagram account was because of Eugenie's cousin Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne.

A source also explained, “the Palace became involved in issuing a formal proclamation only after Eugenie's cousin Zara Tindall, one of the few to have been entrusted with the news, persuaded her to write to the King.”

For those unversed with the announcement itself, it came about six days ago and contains an image of Eugenie’s sons, who are holding an ultrasound scan.

The caption reads, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.”

“August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family. His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”
