Nancy Guthrie missing mystery ‘closer’ to being solved as Mother’s Day nears
Chris Nanos's claims about Nancy Guthrie come amid mounting pressure on him
No suspect so far has been arrested in Nancy Guthrie, an 84-year-old, whose disappearance has shocked and disturbed many out there.
Yet, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos – who has been under fire for his investigation into the missing mystery – presented a positive update on the case.
In a brief chat with Fox News, he says the police are close to solving the case, as Nancy has been missing for nearly 100 days.
Chris Nanos faces fresh backlash
As criticism of Sheriff Nanos mounts, he is hitting back.
He pushed back against an unknown critic, claiming the authorities rushed to judgment in the Nancy case.
With this, the anonymous critic further added that a blood trail was present at her front door; despite this, the investigators assumed Savannah's mom had "wandered off".
“He has said that since day 1, the investigation was treated as both a missing persons case and criminal investigation," a spokesperson from PCSD fired back.
"Both our search & rescue team and homicide detectives were out initially.”
Nancy's disappearance has gripped the nation, as she is yet to be found, nor are her presumed abductors, as Mother's Day is near.
