In another tweet, Starmer said: “Today I’m pleased to appoint Gordon Brown as my Special Envoy on Global Finance and Cooperation.”

He continued as Britain’s longest-serving Chancellor, Gordon is well placed to work with international allies to “build a stronger Britain and boost our country’s security and resilience.”

Keir Starmer made the decision after Labour Party lost power Friday in Wales for the first time since its devolved assembly was created in 1999.

Moreover, the latest appointments from the British Prime Minister have been announced days after King Charles visited the United States.
