Savannah Guthrie makes dramatic return to 'Today' after sudden disappearance with zero answers
Savannah Guthrie did not leave 'Today' in such a way for the first time
It happened again. Savannah Guthrie abruptly left the TODAY show yesterday, only to return today on-air sans explanation.
Though her brief exit is understood in the context of previous reports, which stated that the anchor has been permitted to leave early if an official update on her mother's disappearance case is issued.
Meanwhile as Savannah made a dramatic return, she was joined by co-anchor Willie Geist.
The 54-year-old then weighs in on the new series Elle, which is a prequel to Legally Blonde, a 2001 American comedy starring Reese Witherspoon.
"I know, I love Legally Blonde. I connect with this character, and now we get to see her in high school," Savannah says, referring to Witherspoon's character Elle Woods.
In the previous show, when the TODAY anchor made her dramatic exit, her former high school teachers appeared.
Bush Hager, who is an anchor at the daily broadcast show as well as a friend of the Guthrie family, asked them, “Speaking of, this was Savannah's teacher. Was Savannah a great student?”
“Oh yeah, great student,” one of the teachers replied.
Nancy disappeared from her home near Tucson, Arizona, on Feb. 28.
