Sarah Ferguson has a falling out behind the scenes with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Sarah Ferguson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor meet their hardest chapter yet

Published May 07, 2026

Previously known as the ‘happiest divorced couple’ in the world Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson have gone through what some are calling a breakdown’, not just in bond or communication but in terms to their very relationship.

Why its pertinent to mention is that the duo are parents to two daughters Princess Beatrice and Eugenie. While both have kids Princess Eugenie is currently pregnant and news of her upcoming arrival was shared in a Buckingham Palace update as well.

However, despite their being happy news in their private bubble, all while the world stays frenzied over their misconduct and behavior woes an insider reveals the issues are event fracturing what was once between them.

“For decades, Sarah remained fiercely loyal to Andrew even when public opinion turned against him and many people within royal circles quietly stepped back,” the source explained to RadarOnline at the start of their chat.

“She defended him behind the scenes, stayed living alongside him and tried to preserve some sense of normality while the scandal swallowed up almost every aspect of their lives,” they admitted too. So much so that “a lot of people were actually surprised by just how committed she remained throughout the worst periods of scrutiny.”

“But the sheer scale of the Epstein fallout eventually has taken such a devastating emotional toll on both of them it has now fundamentally altered the relationship they once had.”

According to the same source “what used to be a remarkably close partnership built on familiarity, trust and mutual dependence has become weighed down by stress, isolation and exhaustion.”

Even some friends have come out with warnings about the current state of events and say, “friends say there is now a sadness hanging over Sarah and Andrew's dynamic because the scandal changed the way they live, the way they interact and ultimately the future they imagined sharing together.”
