Kate Middleton prepares for international travel after cancer remission with 'high-profile' initiative
Kate Middleton has been in cancer remission since January 2025
Kate Middleton arrived at the University of East London to mark the launch of Foundations for Life.
On Wednesday, May 6, the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a video of Kate’s solo visit to the University of East London as she prepares for her first overseas trip after cancer remission.
During her high-profile visit, which started a great initiative for children, Kate connected with families, education leaders, and researchers who are working tirelessly for the emotional and social development of children.
The post had a caption that read, “Connecting with families, researchers and education leaders committed to putting social and emotional development at the heart of early years practice.”
“Because loving, responsive relationships lay the strongest foundations for lifelong health and wellbeing,” the caption concluded.
Notably, Rebecca English, the Daily Mail’s editor-in-chief, also shared the Princess of Wales’s video, showing her attending a special session at the University of East London.
Rebecca captioned the post, "The Princess of Wales today launches a ‘pivotal’ new stage in her public work on helping the youngest in society with a high-profile engagement in London.”
"Catherine is at the University of East London (UEL) near Stratford to unveil a new online resource by her Centre for Early Childhood for everyone working with babies, young children and their families,” she penned.
It is pertinent to note that the Princess of Wales, whose cancer remission started in January 2025, will resume international travel with her upcoming visit to Italy from May 13 to May 14.
