After being part of the music industry for years and being under the constant spotlight, Billie Eilish recently revealed the unforgettable experience of her only media training session.

The 24-year-old American singer-songwriter appeared on the Tuesday, May 5 episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler, where she opened up about her media training at the age of 14 and how her public image has changed over the years.

Eilish told Poehler that she used to be “very strong-willed and very bossy” during her teenage years, which played a major role in her being “very honest,” especially in her interviews at that time.

She shared, "I did PR training when I was 14 and I sobbed through it. I hated it so much. It was literally like the scariest s**** of all time.”

"I only did one session and it was under an hour, and I sobbed and I left, and I did not follow any of the rules after that," the crooner of Happier Than Ever confessed.

Before she was briefed about what not to “say” while answering questions, Eilish admitted that she used to answer questions in her own style earlier in her career.

"It was important for me to learn and I'm glad I learned it," she noted.

It is pertinent to mention that Billie Eilish appeared on Poehler’s podcast to promote her forthcoming concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), which will be released on May 8, 2026.

The film, which she co-directed with James Cameron, documents her 2024 and 2025 tours. Watch the trailer here.
