It is being reported that Meghan Markle made a calculated move when she posted the video of Princess Lilibet and her chicken just hours after King Charles was captured feeding a flock.

For those unaware, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, shared two new stories inside her chicken coop at her Montecito home on her Instagram on Thursday, April 30, 2026, during the same time when the British monarch was concluding his four-day high-stakes state visit to the United States of America.

With her LA chocolatier, she showed her chicken coop, as well Princess Lilibet, who was in a pink dress and could also be seen playing by the chicken coop. She was also saying something incomprehensible to Meghan, who said, “Thanks sweetheart” in response.

An insider told journalist Rob Shuter that the timing of the Duchess of Sussex’s video was a deliberate attempt to steal the spotlight from the royals.

The source said, “The second Charles started winning the news cycle, Meghan moved. She knows exactly how this game works. When the Palace gets momentum, she changes the subject — fast. This was not spontaneous. It was strategic.”

“No one here was remotely surprised. Charles gets glowing coverage and suddenly something appears out of Montecito. At this point, it is practically part of the rhythm. Charles gets the headlines, Meghan resets the narrative. That is media strategy,” the insider claimed.
