How Princess Diana ‘completely changed the way’ people looked at Royals
Princess Diana is appreciated for modernising the Royal Family
Princess Diana changed the dynamics of the royal family after her marriage to King Charles.
The former princess of Wales, who passed away in 1997, posted to Royals to be more modern with her hands-on approach to things.
In a conversation with woman&home, correspondent Emily Andrews believes that Diana "forced" Royals to change
Speaking on Catching Up With The Royals podcast, the expert said Diana "the second most significant person in this game" adding that she "completely changed the way we looked to royalty."
Princess Diana "lived her personal life kind of publicly - or at least seemed to"
"The public narrative of her as a very hands-on mother, which I think was true - I don't think that was fake, it felt very authentic - taking them on the tube, the fairground rides, the holidays, the very hands-on parenting was so different to how royals had parented before," she said.
Emily reflected: "It did make, I think, maybe forced, the royals to become more hands-on with the general public, so to speak."
