Watch: Inter Toronto’s Tomasz Skublak turns goal celebration into viral real estate ad

During Inter Toronto’s 4-1 victory over defending champions Atletico Ottawa on Friday, striker Tomasz Skublak went viral for a unique marketing stunt. 

After scoring the opening goal, he rolled down his sock, pulled out a real estate business card, and mimicked a phone call to the cameras. The 28-year-old is a full-time professional athlete who also works as a full-time realtor in Ontario. 

He explained that since he spends significant money on marketing his business outside of soccer, he took advantage of the live broadcast. 

The win propelled Inter propelled Inter Toronto to second place in the Canadian Premier League standings. With this performance, Skublak moved into a tie for the league’s top scorer this season.

“I'm ​a full-time player here at Inter Toronto, as well as ​a full-time realtor. I figured, I spend a lot of money on marketing ‌on ⁠business outside of football, so get some free marketing here,” Skublak was quoted as saying by One Soccer.

“Once training is finished, ​I am already on the phone with clients. It ​is tough, ⁠but I am managing it well,” he told the CPL website in an interview last month.

“What my schedule typically looks like is training ⁠until 11:00 ​AM or 12:00, team lunch is ​done at 12:30 and I'm usually with clients from 1:00 until 9:00 - that's what my ​day looks like.”

The realtor celebration has gained massive traction online, being featured on major platforms like OneSoccer and Reddit, successfully blending his two professional worlds on a national stage.
