Desperate search for man who disappears in hills after girlfriend fight
Rescue crews have been searching for the man for hours in rugged hills
A 28-year-old man has vanished in the rugged hills of Hong Kong during a hike after a row with his girlfriend on Saturday.
A frantic search is underway by authorities after the person's brother triggered an alarm, telling police that contact with his sibling has been lost.
Scanning the missing man's social media, according to the South China Morning Post, shows him hiking on the fourth section of the MacLehose Trail in the last post.
However, hours of searching by officials near Lion Rock and Tsz Wan Shan – remote areas – produced no clues about him.
Still, an ambulance was placed on an emergency notice, and firefighters gathered at the scene in the hope of a breakthrough.
To broaden the search, a government helicopter has been deployed, scouring the skies for a sign of the missing hiker.
Clue in another hiker's missing case
Sandarsh Krishna, a 26-year-old, went missing while hiking in the Grand Canyon.
However, a clue in his case has been found.
Authorities scramble into action after a black backpack believed to belong to the missing person has been found.
An unknown person turned in the rucksack to the staff at Brigh Angel Lodge on April 28.
However, who delivered it was a mystery.
Police, according to 12 News, have been investigating to identify the individual who dropped off the backpack.
Investigators insist the person is not a suspect, but a chat with the individual could provide crucial details needed to find Krishna.
