Heidi Klum has finally revealed the reason behind her decision to bring her son, Henry Samuel, as her red-carpet date.

While conversing with PEOPLE magazine, Klum, who shares her 20-year-old son with her ex-husband Seal, opened up about why Henry has started accompanying her everywhere.

Referring to her current husband, Tom Kaulitz, she said, "To be honest, because my husband has been traveling so much and I didn't want to go alone. So, Henry has been like, 'I'll come with you, mom.' And I'm like, 'This is fabulous.'"

The 52-year-old German-American model, television host, and businesswoman went on to remark, "I mean, what better date can you have than your own son?"

Klum admitted to seeing things through the lens of "someone who is really young and everything is still so exciting” and full of “fun.”

"Obviously, things are super exciting for me too, but it's different with a 20-year-old when they see things and do things for the first time, like a big red carpet,” she explained. “... So, he's always super appreciative that I take him.”

"But to be honest, I'm more appreciative that he comes with me, that he's proud to be on my side. And we have a fun night together. We love people watching, we gossip a little bit. It's a real fun night with my son,” The Devil Wears Prada star confessed.

It is pertinent to mention that Heidi Klum is the mother of four children, Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou. She welcomed daughter Leni with Flavio Briatore in 2004, but her former husband Seal adopted her when she tied the knot with him in 2005.
