Meghan Markle warns Prince William not to 'stand in her way'

Meghan Markle is reportedly "furious" with Prince William after an insider claimed that the Prince of Wales pushed King Charles to clarify her royal status. 

“The latest statement from the Palace was very much pushed by William and Kate – and Meghan knows that," the insider told Heat World. "The Waleses have felt totally blindsided by the way Harry and Meghan announced their arrival back to the UK, and with everything that’s happened over the last few years, they just don’t trust them."

"There is nothing new in the statement, but William felt it was necessary to remind them where the lines are drawn before anything happens," a tipster continued.

As per the confidant, the Duchess of Sussex wants to be viewed as "public figures" rather than being treated as "private citizens."

"Meghan is furious over it. She has no intention of allowing the Palace to push her aside or treat her as though she is no longer important, especially by William and Kate. She won’t let them stand in her way."

For those unaware, King Charles recently issued a letter clarifying that Prince Harry and Meghan remain non-working royals.

"Following the decision by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to relocate to the UK, we have received a number of requests for guidance," the latter read. "To help avoid doubt or confusion, the King has directed that the following information be shared."

"In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess stepped down from undertaking representative duties on behalf of the sovereign, and are no longer working members of the Royal Family," it added.
