Buckingham Palace gets utterly roasted: ‘The monarchy apparently comes ahead of victims’
‘How many women might have been saved from Epstein’s crimes had the Palace not threatened ‘in a million different ways’ back in 2015 to drop their story’?
Amid the uproar against the Firm for its silence, not as a monarchy but as an institution, Andrew Lownie, best known for being Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s unofficial biographer has taken to his Substack to grill the very point they stand on.
His piece references the investigative journalism piece ‘The Cover-up?’ by Gorden Brown for The New Statesman for issuing these direct questions too.
In the eyes of Mr Lownie, “the monarchy must apparently come ahead of everything, even the victims of sexual abuse, allegedly at the hands of the King’s brother.”
How many women might have been saved from Epstein’s crimes had the Palace not, according to Amy Robach, threatened ABC “in a million different ways” back in 2015 to drop their story about Andrew and the paedophile financier? Or had the police taken seriously the claims of the brave late Virginia Giuffre?”
The conversation didn’t end there either because Mr Lownie did not shy away from pointing out his own earlier claims which were for a select committee to be formed in Parliament, to investigate how public funds may have been abused by Andrew and whether a cover-up took place that allowed Andrew to escape being interviewed, despite the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty request.”
What is pertinent to mention at this point in time though is that currently the Department of Justice is continuing to release the files in question, however, no action has been taken to arrest or bring in for questioning those mentioned, or those with information into the activities highlighted in the emails.
