GTA 6 release date and price: Take-Two CEO drops major hint on ‘fair cost’
GTA 6 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S
In the gaming world, Grand Theft Auto VI holds significant importance; any update related to GTA 6 keeps fans on edge. Currently, speculation is mounting regarding the game's release date and pricing.
The CEO of Take-Two addressed the ongoing speculation regarding the pricing and release date of GTA 6.
Talking at the iicon conference, Strauss Zelnick suggested that while a price has not been finalized yet, the company aims to offer “value” that exceeds the cost.
He said, “Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way way way less of the value delivery.”
Zelnick added, “Consumers need to feel like the thing itself is amazing and the price they were charged was fair for what they got.”
He indicated that the game might avoid “super-premium” pricing and charge “way way way less.”
Related to GTA 6 release date, Zelnick hinted at a late 2026 release on consoles.
As confirmed by Rockstar Games, GTA 6 is set to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version has not yet been confirmed.
Zelnick acknowledged the massive anticipation for the game, joking that many people will likely "call in sick" on the launch date.
He also mentioned that while Take-Two is looking at using all its intellectual property in the future, there is currently no specific announcement for a new L.A. Noire title.
