Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are getting dragged into the scandal involving their parents and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for months at this point and the biggest question to date is whether the sisters will truly cut off contact, publicly with their parents.

The answer comes in the form of a personal opinion by former Royal Editor of The Sun.

The author of Prince Harry: The Inside Story, expert Duncan Larcombe spoke about this with The Mirror and his conversation turned candid right off the bat.

In his opinion, the thing this boils down to is “I think they're a close-knit family and ultimately family is stronger than anything else, so I don't personally, from my experience of dealing with them all, the Yorks, I don't think that they'll exorcise their parents because of the media.”

The only thing that rings true, based on observations of their behavior in recent months is that “they're trying to keep their distance at this time because they don't want to be associated with it, frankly,” in Mr Larcombe’s eyes.

but before concluding he also offered more insight, and admitted that this public silence is more “a public relations move,” because where Fergie at least is concerned, “I don't think she's any nearer ditching Andrew than she ever was and her links to Epstein might have been different from Andrew's,” he said.

But “it would be pretty... hypocritical if she just said 'oh how dare you be friends with a man like that' when clearly she's been a friend of the man like that.”
