Why Queen Elizabeth II found sobbing ‘useless?’
Queen Elizabeth II made sure not to distract herself with over emotions
Queen Elizabeth II found it easier to communicate with animals rather than human beings.
Her Majesty, who passed away in 2022, easily expressed her emotions with her pet animals as she struggled to do the same with her family and subjects.
In new biography of the late Queen, author Robert Hardman reveals Her Majesty liked to keep her emotion in check.
“For the most part, she avoided overt commiseration and non-family funerals, sending a representative instead,” Hardman wrote.
“Were she to start attending, so the thinking went, she would soon find herself doing little else.”
“Those who knew her well were neither offended nor surprised,” he penned. “They had no doubt that she cared deeply but preferred to keep her emotions in check.”
“She thought a sobbing Queen was no use to anyone,” said the expert.
