Meghan Markle’s plans for her memoir co-authored with Prince Harry: ‘She’s being strategic’

Insiders, critics and much of social media has been abuzz for years over the prospect of Meghan Markle writing her own memoir, given her highly publicized past with the British Royal Family. But now, finally a source has come forward with information into when, where and how it might come about.

The source in question spoke to Closer Magazine when delivering the verdict and explain “it’s true that Meghan is holding back on a tell-all memoir for now she’s absolutely not opposed to writing one down the line. And it will likely be co-authored with husband Prince Harry.”

“The idea that she’s ruled it out completely just isn’t correct, it’s more that she’s being very strategic about when and how she does it,” they explained while attempting to dispel rumors of it not coming to fruition.

Even Meghan is siad to know that a tell-all “still has huge value,” if her name is attached “but in order to get the sort of payday she’d like she would have to cover her time within the royal family and what went wrong, and right now that’s the image she and Harry are trying to move away from”. That is the only reason why she’s “pressed pause” on something so lucrative.

As for what people should expect when it does drop, the insider says, “when it does happen, she won’t be going rogue, she only wants to do this with Harry’s full support, to the point it may be a joint book, that way they can present a united front and shape the narrative to their liking.” However, “the issue is what will actually sell because the last thing they want is another flop.”

“The sad truth is the thing most people are still interested in is the drama with his family. So, they’re stuck between a rock and hard place, and both feel the best thing to do is put it to the side, for now.”

However, as the source said near the end, a big payday isn’t the only reason why a memoir is even thought about. For Meghan the biggest take home would be the opportunity to dispel false narratives about her.
