King Charle has nerves before meeting Donald Trump, says expert
King Charles is worried about the impact of his upcoming trip to America
King Charles is secretly worried ahead of his most anticipated trip to United States of America.
His Majesty, who is expected to visit Washington DC and meet President Donald Trump, feels the pressure of distance between UK Prime Minister care Starmer and Trump himself.
Former royal editor Duncan Larcombe says the King is likely “privately dreading” ahead of the tour.
“This is one of, if not the biggest tests of King Charles since he became monarch, because a historically special relationship is in a perilous situation,” he said.
“Donald Trump is openly criticising the Prime Minister, which is something that Charles hasn't had to cope with before."
He continued: “Donald Trump is his own force and we know how much the royal connection means to him, so the pressure's on Charles to make this a success, definitely.”
