Palace announces major tribute for Queen Elizabeth II's 100th birthday
The late monarch's 100th birthday celebrations has already began
Buckingham Palace has announced the grand celebration of the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II on her 100th birthday.
The late monarch, who passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96, will be honored upcoming week for her milestone day, as on April 21 it would have been her centenary.
"This coming week, we will remember the life of Queen Elizabeth II, 100 years on from her birth," the caption on the royal family's official Instagram page read.
The statement continued, "Her Majesty lived through an extraordinary period in world history. As Monarch, she comforted the nation in difficult times, and was often at the centre of celebrations and moments of national pride. We look back at some of the historic events which marked her reign, and made her a constant in many of our lives."
Along with the caption, a monologue video featuring Queen Elizabeth's notable moments throughout her 70 years of ruling period were shown, which began on February 6, 1952.
At the beginning of the video, a black and white video of the late Queen appeared in which she can be seen taking an oath.
"I can give you my heart and my devotion to these old islands," she said at the time she took over the throne of Great Britain in 1952.
Other clips included in the video were the late Queen announcing Britain's first atomic power station in 1956, welcoming the new millennium, marking England's 2003 Rugby World Cup win in 2003, attending the 2012 opening ceremony of the Olympics in England, snippets from her 75th birthday celebrations and many more.
