‘Grandfather of reporting’ weighs in: ‘The King lives with cancer, he will live with it & there nothing else’
King Charles is starting to fall asleep at events and things seem to be going downhill: Here’s what the expert thinks
The King’s health has kept the entirety of Britain and his fans on the edges of their seats, and holding their breath, and a warning has just echoed that says ‘don’t expect anything else’.
This expert in question, often referred to as the ‘grandfather of reporting is none other than Robert Jobson. His comments come from the latest Royalist podcast episode.
While talking to the host Tom Sykes he said, “I think that the Palace were overemphasising the ‘good news.’ The press spokespeople were saying, ‘Oh, this is good news.’ They were trying to say to the journalists at the time, ‘Don’t interpret it any other way. This is good news.’”
“I think that if [Charles] felt that he could not carry out his duty, because of ill health and he felt that his health was in any way affecting his position, then he would actually not necessarily look to stand down, but he would probably say, ‘I can’t continue with the treatment I’ve got and I’ll let it take its action’.”
Furthermore, Mr Jobson even explained how in some public engagements the King, much like his mother seems to be deteriorating a bit. Where Queen Elizabeth came to a point in her life where she’d drop bigger teapots due to her lack of arm strength near the end of her life, King Charles, has been seen “almost falling asleep standing up” during some engagements.
Regarding this the expert said, “and this is a man who believes wholeheartedly in his duty. At this moment in time, he’s giving it his best shot.”
As for those unversed with what the final days of Queen Elizabeth looked like, she ended up turning considerably weak as explained by the same expert. According to him “she used to get frustrated when the servants brought in a large pot of tea because she couldn’t lift the tea pot to pour her own tea, and she dropped [it].”
