Andrew begged Prince William to forgive him in last public meeting
"Andrew used his last public meeting with William to beg for forgiveness and understanding, however, William wasn’t impressed"
Former Duke of York Andrew reportedly begged future King Prince William to forgive him in their last public meeting.
According to an expert, Andrew had a tense conversation with William at the Duchess of Kent's funeral.
Prince William and Andrew were snapped at the Duchess of Kent's funeral last September, where all the senior royals attended the service at Westminster Cathedral to pay tribute to the wife of Andrew's late mother's cousin.
The Daily Mail quoted expert lip reader, Nicola Hickling, claiming Andrew pleaded for his nephew's forgiveness.
Princess Eugenie and Beatrice father apparently says to William: "I've learnt from what I've done but before I forget, and if I can, I'd like to ask you if you can forgive?"
Earlier, Andrew apparently greeted William and Kate at the funeral with the expert claimed the former Duke said: "Good afternoon, William and Catherine, how are you?"
The outlet reported the expert claims Kate replies, "Good, thank you", with lip reader Hickling also explaining: "At this point, William looks a little bit uneasy, before saying to Andrew, 'What can I do for you?'"
Royal expert Tom Sykes has also claimed that “Andrew used his last public meeting with William to beg for forgiveness and understanding, however, William wasn’t impressed.”
Meanwhile, William believes his disgraced uncle needs to ‘suffer serious consequences’, including being cut from the line of succession amid calls to remove him.
The close confidant said the future king had wanted to remove Andrew from the line when the former Duke was stripped of his military and royal titles last year.
And now, Andrew’s arrest has only strengthened the Prince of Wales fight to ‘cut out’ his uncle for good.
