The royal fans have finally received an exciting update amid rumours that King Charles ‘plans to abdicate’ for his elder son Prince William.
Royal expert Richard Palmer took to X, formerly Twitter handle and shared exciting news for the royal fans.
Palmer tweeted, “The private apartments used by Queen Elizabeth II at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the monarch’s official residence in Scotland, will open to visitors for the first time from May 21 to September 10, 2026 to mark the centenary of her birth.”
However, in another tweet, the royal expert said, “Tickets do not come cheap: Royal Collection Trust email subscribers get priority access from March 9 at £61 until remaining tickets go on general sale from March 12 at £71 in advance or £75 on the day.”
The Royal Collection Trust said: “These modestly decorated rooms offer a rare glimpse into the personal ‘lived-in’ spaces used during private moments between official duties.”
The latest announcement comes days after a royal expert claimed that King Charles will hand over the throne to his elder son Prince William within 12 months amid health concerns.
According to Rob Shuter, the insiders have claimed that King Charles health is set to be official reason, however, they said “the real strategy is protecting the crown.”
Citing the close confidant, the expert says: “Royal whispers are growing louder that King Charles III will hand the throne to Prince William within the next year — with health cited as the formal and carefully managed explanation.”
