Reports that King Charles is planning to abdicate and handover the throne to his elder son Prince William amid his health worries, have sparked reactions from the royal fans.

The royal insiders have claimed to the New Idea that there is no firm date in King Charles mind to step down, but, in order to be ready, rehearsals for the historic moment are taking place in private.

The royal family is ready for every eventuality, and the insiders revealed an official ‘abdication plan’ is being locked in with palace officials.

The Sky News also shared the similar story on its X, formerly Twitter handle.

It tweeted, “Palace insiders say King Charles' official abdication plan has been locked in if and when he chooses to pass the crown to Prince William.”

Reacting to it, one royal fan commented, “There is no way King Charles will choose to abdicate. God will decide in his own divine timing when King Charles abdicates and that will be the moment he is called home.

“King Charles, like his mother before him, will remain our wonderful King until that moment. Then, and only then, will our beloved Prince William ascend the throne.”

Another said, “Don't believe it. Charles won't abdicate. William will have to wait until his time naturally comes. Abdication requires full Parliamentary approval anyway which may not be given.”

The third reacted, “He does have a plan to pass the Crown on. And it has been in place since his Coronation. It is called his DEATH. Because that is when it will be passed on. He is doing a beautiful job and looks better everyday. He certainly has lots of energy. Absolutely no reason to pass it on.”
