Kristin Davis recently opened up about a scene in S*x and the City that had to be refilmed because of an assistant director.

The 60-year-old actress and film producer appeared on the Thursday, January 29 episode of her podcast, Are You a Charlotte?

Davis reflected on episode 12 titled, Don't Ask, Don't Tell, of the third season of the romantic comedy-drama television series created by Darren Star for HBO.

The episode showed her character Charlotte York’s wedding to Trey MacDougal (played by Kyle MacLachlan). However, York finds out that MacDougal might have some impotence issues just a night before their wedding.

Just before walking down the aisle, she takes her bridesmaid Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) aside to inform her that MacDougal “couldn’t get it up."

Davis admitted that the scene was intense to film but an assistant director’s ill-timed laugh made it worse.

She recalled, "I remember the stress. I was super stressed about how to pull that moment off of, you know, basically pulling her off, you know, she's walking down the aisle and pulling her back and telling her, like, 'He can't get it up. Trey can't get it up.’”

"I was very, very worried about that,” the Cash Out star urged. “And at the time that it happened, we had an AD. I'm not gonna say her name. She was a woman, first AD, and she was sitting on a ladder right behind us. And she laughed out loud on my close-up, the first time I did it."

"And and we had to cut. It wasn't usable. And I was so mad because I had been so stressed about it. And her laugh had ruined that take, and it had been a really good take. So, then I had to do it again." Davis explained.
