Jacob Elordi scored a major win at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, marking his first time winning an award at prestigious ceremony..
Receiving best supporting actor award for Frankenstein, Elordi reacted to the win. In his speech, he told the audience, "Bloody hell. I really didn't plan for it."
"Thank you, Guillermo del Toro. I love you. We all love you. You made my dreams when I was 11. I'm so happy to be here," the Kissing Booth actor added.
Furthermore, Elordi went on to praise production designer Tamara Deverell, costume designer Kate Hawley, and prosthetic specialist Mike Hill, saying, "You guys are geniuses."
He noted, "I couldn't walk around like this in front of a green screen. You guys made that world so thank you."
In Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi plays the role of The Creature alongside Oscar Issac, Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, and David Bradley. The story of the film revolves around "Dr. Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist, brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation," as per IMDb.
It is pertinent to mention that besides Critics Choice Awards, Elordi also won best supporting actor in the film at New York Film Critics Online as well as Online Association of Female Film Critics in 2025.
