Chevy Chase, wife Jayni share the magic behind their 43-year marriage
Chevy Chase calls his wife, Jayni Chase, 'the most honest woman'
Chevy Chase and his wife, Jayni, have finally shared the secret of their successful marriage.
The 82-year-old American comedian and actor reflected on his relationship with Jayni, to whom he has been married for 43-years in the new CNN documentary I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not.
Now in his latest interview with PEOPLE magazine, Chevy admitted that he is madly in love with his wife, who is a former production coordinator.
He said, “She’s the most honest woman I’ve ever met,” and called her "the love of my life" in the documentary.
The Caddyshack star went on to tell the outlet, “She’s also the most beautiful. I love the smell of her neck. When she’s doing dishes, I’ll say, ‘I’m coming, honey!’ and come kiss the back of her neck.”
Notably, Jayni has the same feelings for him, as she quipped, “He’s adorable. He’s hard to stay mad at. He’s also not Mr. Macho. I’m a strong woman, and I believe it takes a special man to be with a strong woman.”
For those unaware, Chevy and Jayni first met on the set of the 1981 American comedy film Under the Rainbow and a year after their first interaction, they tied the knot in 1982.
It is pertinent to mention that the couple shares three daughters together: Cydney, Caley, and Emily.
