King Charles's Balmoral Castle has been closed to the public due to weather conditions.
A statement shared on social media said, "Balmoral is closed to the public today (Friday 2nd January) due to winter weather conditions and an active weather warning."
Another update said, "Balmoral will also remain closed tomorrow (Saturday 3rd January), with plans to reopen on Sunday at 11am, weather permitting."
Meanwhile, King Charles is staying at Sandringham in Norfolk, avoiding the extreme weather conditions that are occurring in Scotland, according to GB News.
On Christmas Day, King Charles and Queen Camilla led senior royals to a church in Sandringham in eastern England, greeting well-wishers in crisp winter weather.
