Keira Knightley recalls husband's 'bizarre' habits
Keira Knightley married James Righton in 2013
Keira Knightley has revealed how much her husband has changed since getting with her.
Knightley, who married James Righton in 2013, revealed that he had childlike eating habits when they began dating.
During her appearance on the Waitrose podcast Dish with hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, the Black Doves star said, "He just couldn’t cook, all he ate was cheese on toast. I was like, 'This is not going to work.'"
"He wouldn’t even go out for dinner. He didn’t understand going to restaurants. He was bizarre," she continued.
Keira came up with a trick to make him try new foods.
She shared: "My oldest friend is a proper old-school bon viveur, we basically trained him."
"We took him out to restaurants and he wouldn’t try anything. He was like a child. He used to shut his eyes, and we’d be like, 'Try it, try it!'"
She added, "He’d be like 'OK, it’s nice, it’s nice!"'
The actress also talked about her love of food and wine, reminiscing about owning a vineyard and making wine with her husband.
"I have written about wine, and I've written about food just because I like eating it - can't cook it, but like eating it," Keira said.
"I like wine and I like drinking wine. James is super into wine. Actually, I used to have a place in France and we made our own wine," she added.
Keira Knightley most recently appeared in Netflix series The Woman in Cabin 10.
